Slow Cooked BBQ Chicken with Bell Peppers and Onions

I have to say the slow cooker is probably one of the best cooking appliances to be invented. You can throw all your ingredients in and set it and forget it. This slow cooker BBQ chicken with peppers and onions recipe is made with a few simple ingredients and is great for those winter months when it's too cold to grill outdoors.

SERVES: 6
PREP TIME: 15 MINS COOK TIME: 6 HRS TOTAL TIME: 6 HRS, 15 MINS

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced

  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 white onion, sliced

  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes, optional

Instructions

  1. Add everything to the slow cooker and stir.

  2. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours without opening the lid during the cooking time.

  3. Serve over rice or pasta, or enjoy it on its own.
