Chris's Beef Jerky
If there's one thing that Chris can't get enough of, it's beef jerky, so we got ourselves a smoker and have been trying out our hand at making jerky. After a few batches, we've finally figured it out so we're sharing our recipe here with all of you! This beef jerky is deliciously seasoned, savory, and absolutely well worth the wait. The perk is they're less expensive than store bought jerky (and taste better too!).

- 2 pounds flank steak
- 1/2 cup soy sauce

- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
Thinly slice the steak into 1/8 inch thick strips. (You can toss the beef in the freezer for a few minutes before slicing so that it’s easier to work with.)
In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
Add the marinade and steak into a ziploc bag and toss until the steak is evenly covered. Marinate for 30 minutes or overnight.
Set your smoker to 220° F.
