Toowoomba Noodles
Toowoomba noodles! This dish brings together a rich, creamy sauce with garlic, shrimp, and bacon, all inspired by Toowoomba pasta—a Korean creation named after an Australian city. It’s savory, a little spicy, and totally satisfying. For an extra kick, I used Shin Ramyun noodles to bring some heat and bold flavor!
PREP TIME: 5 MINS COOK TIME: 10 MINS TOTAL TIME: 15 MINS
Ingredients
- 1 pack Shin Ramyun
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 scallion, sliced, green and white parts divided
- 1 strip bacon, chopped
- 4-5 medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 slice cheese
- Chili crisp (optional)
Instructions
Cook the vegetable flakes and noodles according to package directions, but leave out the seasoning. Drain and set aside.
In a medium pan, add the butter, garlic, and the whites of the scallion. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the bacon. Cook until opaque, about 3 minutes.
Add the shrimp. Cook until pink, about 6 minutes.
Add the milk, cheese, and 2/3 of the seasoning packet, stirring until sauce is creamy.
Add the noodles to the sauce, tossing to coat.
Top with scallions and chili crisp.
Enjoy!
