PREP TIME: 30 MINS COOK TIME: 10 MINS TOTAL TIME: 40 MINS
Ingredients
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- 1-2 tablespoons oil
- Water
For the filling
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 shallot, diced
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine the filling ingredients. Mix well to combine. Fry a small patty and adjust seasoning if needed.
Place a wonton wrapper on a flat surface.
Scoop half a tablespoon of filling onto the middle of the wrapper.
Spread water around the edges of the wrapper, then fold in half, pressing the wrapper firmly together. You can leave the potstickers as is or fold the edges in for a rippled looked. Set aside.
Continue assembling until all the meat is used up.
In a medium pan, heat the oil over medium low heat. Place potstickers into the pan and sauté until the bottom is golden and crispy, about 4 minutes.
Pour about 4 tablespoons water to the pan.
Cover and steam until the water evaporates, about 5 minutes.
Serve immediately, with ranch or your favorite dipping sauce.
Enjoy!
