Chris's Grill Smoked Salmon
One of my favorite foods is smoked salmon, whether it's hot smoked or cold, and lucky for me, one of Chris's specialties is just that! You don't need a smoker to make this delicious, flaky, smoked salmon. All you need is a grill and a cedar plank!
PREP TIME: 10 MINS COOK TIME: 15 MINS TOTAL TIME: 25 MINS
Ingredients
- 1 cedar plank
- 1 and 1/2 pound salmon filet
- PAM cooking spray
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons Trader Joe’s jalapeño hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinaigrette
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Coconut oil cooking spray
Instructions
Soak cedar plank according to package directions.
Heat grill.
Pat salmon dry with paper towel.
Spray salmon with PAM.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper, to taste.
Add hot sauce, soy sauce, balsamic vinaigrette and rub into salmon.
Sprinkle salmon with oregano, rosemary, and garlic powder.
Spray plank heavily with coconut oil. Salt generously with rock salt.
Place salmon on plank.
Place plank of salmon on grill for 15 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through.
