Pizza Mac and Cheese

Ingredients
- 12 ounces pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- A pinch of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
- 1/2 cup cooked chicken tenders, diced, optional
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- 30 slices pepperoni, quartered
- 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- Handful of basil leaves, thinly sliced
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Cook pasta according to package directions.
In a large pan, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour until a thick paste forms. Cook for about 1 minute.
Slowly whisk in milk. Add salt and garlic powder. Continue to whisk until the sauce begins to thicken.
Slowly add the cheese in batches and stir until all the cheese is melted.
Add the cooked pasta and stir until evenly combined.
Stir in marinara sauce until evenly combined.
Transfer to a baking dish. Top with mozzarella, pepperoni, and bread crumbs.
Bake for 10 minutes. Top with basil.
