Chris's Easy Homemade Cheesesteak

Gooey, cheesy, and melty, you really can’t go wrong with this easy homemade cheesesteak. It’s made with crispy shaved beef, sautéed peppers, caramelized onions, a blanket of melted cheese, all loaded onto a long sandwich roll.

PREP TIME: 5 MINS COOK TIME: 20 MINS TOTAL TIME: 25 MINS

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1/4 medium onion, sliced

  • 1 red pepper, sliced

  • Pepper, to taste

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 pound sliced steak

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano

  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. In a medium pan over medium high heat, add the oil, onion, and pepper. Stir fry until tender, about 7 minutes. Remove from pan, set aside.

  2. In the same pan, add the beef, garlic, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until beef starts to brown.

  3. Add the onion and pepper back to the pan. Stir to combine.

  4. Top with your favorite cheese and let sit until melted.
