This is not your ordinary bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. I woke up this morning craving a breakfast sandwich and made this quick and delicious sandwich with toasted French bread, pesto, cheddar, scrambled eggs, prosciutto, and arugula.
I'd make a vegetable joke, but you guys might not carrot all. Pickled carrots and daikon are a signature addition to Vietnamese dishes. If you've ever had Vietnamese food, you've probably caught a glimpse of this colorful condiment. These crunchy pickled vegetables are best known as an addition to banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches), but they're a tasty snack all on their own and they also go well with spring rolls, vermicelli dishes, savory crepes...the list goes on!
This dish is so good, it's pre-pasta-rous! Juicy pork and fresh arugula are served with a heavenly homemade lemon sauce in this pasta dish. It's the perfect balance of flavors that we just can't get enough of.
This take on mizeria may not be perfectly true to its Polish roots, but my Polish boyfriend certainly approves! Made with crunchy, refreshing cucumbers and creamy sour cream, this cucumber salad is the perfect way to cool off and enjoy those last days of summer.
Winner winner, chicken dinner! Pan-seared chicken smothered in marinara sauce and topped with gooey melted mozzarella. Every bite of this chicken is full of flavor and is sure to become an instant weeknight dinner favorite.
This quick and easy lemon parmesan asparagus pasta is so simple and fresh that you’ll be making it over and over again! It's the perfect amount of delicious lemony goodness (just the way Chris and I like our lemon dishes!) and can be served as a light and healthy main dish or side dish.
I love the combination of spicy red Thai curry paste and coconut milk. The curry paste and coconut milk are essential to this red curry chicken noodle bowl, so don’t skimp on them! I normally use red curry paste to make these egg noodles in chicken curry sauce (Chris's favorite) but had some left over that needed to be used up so I decided to experiment with this noodle bowl. Much to my delight, this turned out to be an excellent recipe that I'll keep handy for times when I need a quick fix of chicken and noodles, but with a kick. I used bell peppers, carrots, bean sprouts, and scallions, but feel free to use whatever veggies you have available.
Not all chicken recipes are fast. Whether you serve them with a salad, sandwich or plate of pasta, these crispy chicken cutlets coated in breadcrumbs and pan-friend to golden perfection make an almost instant dinner. They're crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Just keep in mind that unless the chicken breasts are quite small, slice them crosswise to make cutlets. A large chicken breast may be enough for 2 to 3 servings.
Salmon doesn't get any easier than this. Seasoned with lemon juice, dill and garlic, this juicy, tender, baked lemon dill salmon is bursting with tangy, fresh flavor and is a great recipe for spring and summer.
Perfectly hard boiled eggs are hard to beat. (Pun intended!) They’re incredibly versatile - great for a small and healthy breakfast or snack, and can be used as a base for various appetizers. Keep reading to find out how to quickly make perfect hard boiled eggs every time!
If there's one dish that Chris and I love to make together, it's this Udon and Steak Noodle Bowl. The inspiration for this dish came when Chris described a dish that he had when he was younger. Based on what he could remember about the ingredients and flavors, we set out to re-create the dish. This meal hits all the bold flavors you could crave in a weeknight meal and has since become a part of our meal rotation. A bed of udon noodles drizzled in sweet and tangy sauce cradles fresh arugula and crisp bean sprouts, while tender, perfectly seasoned, juicy steak tops it off.
There's nothing that quite hits the spot in the mornings like an omelette. This ham, cheese, and arugula omelette is full of protein from the eggs and ham and is so quick and easy, so you don’t have to wait a long time for your breakfast! Since omelettes are so versatile, you could use any veggie you'd like and even swap out the meat with tofu.
